A Parting of the Energetic Waves

You will no doubt have felt it. Anyone who is dedicated to a conscious and/or spiritual path, and exploring a new paradigm of living and relating will be feeling the dissonance between this life path and the lifestyle of those who live seeking comfort, pleasure and distraction, who believe that society has their best interest in mind. It's a reflection of a process that's going on at a much wider, collective level.
There are two energetic forces on this planet, which up until now have been fairly intermingled, blending into each other. However, during this time of environmental, economic and social uncertainty they are beginning to separate from each other to stand out on their own. Here is a brief description of the 2 energetic forces:
- The energy that wants stability and security - when misaligned it's driven by fear. It is identified with the denser aspects of our existence from body to mind and uses these to control, dissociate and distract. It doesn't want to look within or take responsibility because it doesn't like to experience pain. When aligned, however, it can be stabilizing, grounded and firm.
- The energy that is dynamic and conscious, driven by love and truth. When misaligned it can be a touch ungrounded and 'wishy-washy'. When aligned, it is pure transformation flow, leaving no stone unturned, by shining the light of awareness in all the dark places. It empowers by taking responsibility and strengthens both the community and the unique individual. It is essential to master this energy if you're on the path of ascension!
Of course, these energies can not only be seen on a collective level as the conscious movement takes a stand against repression and control. It can also been on a microcosmic level. Here's how it may manifest on an individual level:
- A person who seeks happiness and good feelings. They have tried and tested ways of getting these and distracting themselves from pain. Their lives are pretty constant day-in, day-out and they like it that way. If the status quo is challenged they experience immense distress and often seek to brush it aside with the mind, or act like there's nothing wrong.
- A person who seeks truth and looks at themselves with profound honesty. They are driven to know and be themselves and therefore are prepared to experience the pain of past trauma in order to heal. They value conscious conversation on deep topics and pay attention to their intuition. They feel a deep connection with nature and animals and try to live as compassionately as they can.
Where are you on the spectrum?
In truth, it is rarely so black and white. People will having varying degrees of both energies with both distorted and aligned aspects. People who are transitioning to a new paradigm of living often feel like they have a foot in both worlds. And because of the comfort and security of the first path, it is very easy to fall back into old patterns. This is especially so when our partners and others family members encourage this. The question is, which path do you want to give energy to? It's time to part the waves within!

Breaking free
There's no question that choosing the conscious path is not the easy option, although it brings great fulfillment on other levels. If you are moving away from the old paradigm then you will likely encounter quite a bit of resistance from those around you. Ultimately, one of two things can happen. Either they chose to embrace a conscious lifestyle too (or elements of it) or they chose to remain in their comfort zone. Whatever happens it's important to realize that it's their choice. The only influence you have over the situation is to provide a mirror by living a conscious lifestyle and healing your traumas and blockages.

If your loved ones chose to remain in their comfort zone then you have an additional choice to make. You will need to chose how much you want to engage with these people in the future. And believe me I know how painfully hard this decision can be. You will likely still feel immense love. However, there is a recognition that you can't fully engage in a conscious lifestyle without pulling away from those who keep you tied to the old paradigm.
Mixed feelings
If you chose to pull away and give more energy to a conscious lifestyle, you will almost certainly experience mixed feelings. I always say that if I'm experiencing a mixture of deep grieve and sadness, and excitement and anticipation, then I know I'm on the right path!
